Holiday Fun - Flint City Handmade Holiday Craft Market

Back to Flint we go! We had such a blast the last time we did a show with these guys and we are so excited to do it all again!

After DIY, we at Brash had to basically remake our entire collection because we sold out of almost everything we had. We are really excited to showcase all of our new goodies in Flint, which is our first show since DIY.

We are also really psyched to see all the fun crafts and vintage goodies that we know are gonna also be at the show. We hope to get some quality holiday shopping done while we're "working". :)

DIY STREET FAIR = OUR BIGGEST SHOW EVER!

As the 20th quickly approaches I have been SUPER busy trying to prepare for this two day DIY showcase that promises to be pretty amazing. This event is not only our - Brashes - biggest show to date, but it's also the first time that organizers of the DIY Streetfair have put this together! It's gonna be a trial and error for us all and on some level it makes me feel a little bit better about the whole thing.

There is a ton of work to do! We are designing a whole new look for the display and also a new collection of goodies that are so far looking devine! It's gonna be a more classy and put together sort of Brash! This show is kind of like our baby starting high school. :)

So cross your fingers and come out to hang with us this coming weekend, September 20th and 21st on the corner of 9 mile and Woodward in Ferndale. This show runs alongside the Ferndale Art Fair. There will be tons of great indie designers, food, music, activities, and fun fun fun!!!

Musician Of Right Now

First of all...A HUGE thanks to Cat Power for maintaining her spot on the musician of the week for way longer...teehee.

Our new musician of the "week" is Mickey Avalon. We were introduced to this interesting fellow one Brash work night by our friend C-Life and were so amused by him that we decided to give him a hand. The first thing that really stands out about him is his look...it's kind of a mix between Iggy Pop, Marilyn Manson, an indie version of Eminem and our friends Chris and Shawn. He has some awesome tats and some of the most amazing beats we have heard in a while. His lyrics are pretty rediculous, i.e. The Dick Song and he has TONS of vid's on youtube including music videos plus some from his personal life.

He is for sure a good time and we CAN'T wait to see him live, asap!!!

We Suck At Blogging!

Soooo...the whole point of blogging is to like post about things all the time and we have obviously been sucking hard at doing this! So last night, when we were brashing at like the most obnoxious coffee shop in Royal Oak ever (no names...cuz obviously some major douchbags love going there, plus we don't want to be mean) we decided, while shielding our eyes from the clouds of hookah smoke that we would try and blog at least once a day about whatever. I decided that the first of these blogs should be about us sucking at doing this. Hopefully it will be a motivator for us and we can get our act together!!!

Aside from sucking we have been hard at work trying to put all of our stuff online on etsy. We have like 40 pieces up now which is the most we've had since we started our site and we are so excited and have tons more pieces to put up. Plus we will be making a whole new collection while clearing out our current pieces! We are really excited about this. :)

Our Coming Out Party!!!

Brash is finally moving out of Jacqui's basement and into the world! That's right folks...we're coming out!!! Our very first craft show will be next month, May 3, 2008 in Flint, MI!!! We are so excited and soooooooooo happy to finally be part of a show and are super excited to see the turnout and what cuteness everyone has to offer.
